George W. Leidgen

GEORGE W. LEIDGENGeorge W. Leidgen age 75 of N3052 Kelly Road, Fond du Lac, died Wednesday at St. Agnes Hospital. He was born on April 27, 1929 in Milwaukee, the son of George A. and Gertrude A. Nehring Leidgen. On November 25, 1948 he married Betty R. Ahrens in Milwaukee. She preceded him in death on September 13, 1997. George worked for Harley-Davidson in Milwaukee for seventeen years, Tillison Carburetor in Toledo, OH for three years, and at Mercury Marine for twenty-seven years as a carburetion engineer. He was a member of the R.C. Model Airplane Club, Fond du Lac Aeromodelers Club, and a friend of Bill W. He enjoyed flying model airplanes. SURVIVORS: one son Greg Leidgen of Fond du Lac, seven grandchildren, Shawn, Shannan, Jennifer, Michael, Michelle, Robin, and Renee, twelve great-grandchildren, and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Betty, his daughter Sherry Peterson on October 12, 2004.



At George's request there will be no visitation. A graveside inurnment service will be held Tuesday, November 9, 2004 at 1:30 P.M. at Pinelawn Memorial Park in Milwaukee with the Reverend Kenneth Herian officiating. Uecker-Witt Funeral Home is serving the family.
