Gerald Clayton Roberts

Gerald C. Roberts, Sr., 77, of 605 8th Street, was taken in God's Hands on Saturday, May 20, 2006, surrounded by his family. He was born December 9, 1928, in Fond du Lac, the son of Joseph and Leona Poetter Roberts. He was married to Jean Arthur and she preceded him in death in 1976. On May 29, 1987, he married Mary Orvis at St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church in North Fond du Lac. Mr. Roberts was a member of St. Peter's Evangelical Lutheran Church.Surviving is his wife, Mary, two daughters, Sharon (Richard) Groeschl of Malone, and Jennifer (Special Friend Joseph Koffman) at home, two sons, Gerald (Judith) Roberts, Jr. and Jim (Vicky) Roberts, both of Fond du Lac, 14 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, and a son-in-law, James Paulson of Fond du Lac. His parents, a daughter, Sally Paulson, a great-grandson, and three brothers, Wayne, Eugene, and Carl Roberts, preceded him in death.



Visitation for Mr. Gerald C. Roberts, Sr. will be on Thursday, May 25, 2006, from 4 to 7 pm at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home, and on Friday, May 26, 2006, from 9:30 to 10:30 am at St. Peter's Evangelical Lutheran Church. Funeral services will be on Friday at 10:30 am at the church. The Pastor Jon Cox will officiate and burial will be in Estabrooks Cemetery. A memorial has been established in Mr. Roberts' name.
