Jerry “Bruno” F. Brunelli, 80, of North Fond du Lac, passed away Saturday, December 17, 2016 at St. Francis Home with his daughter by his side. He was born August 28, 1936 in Stambaugh, MI, the son of Attillo A. and Carolyn “Daisy” Kuchan Brunelli. Jerry served in the US Navy from 1955 - 1959. On October 25, 1958, he married Jacqueline A. Kempster in Festus, MO and she preceded him in death on July 23, 2007. He met his wife in Washington DC and in 1959, they moved to Michigan, and later to Chicago. In 1961, they moved to Fond du Lac. Jerry worked for Giddings & Lewis as an electrical designer until his retirement in 1998. He was a member of Holy Family Parish. Jerry was very involved in Fond du Lac Youth Baseball, serving as Director, President, and Coach. He was a Fond du Lac Baseball Hall of Fame inductee and a racquetball champion at the YMCA. Jerry golfed and bowled on the G&L teams. He enjoyed running, playing chess, playing sheepshead at the Fond du Lac and North Fond du Lac Senior Centers and was an avid Packer, Brewer, Badger, Bucks and Golden State Warrior fan.
He is survived by his daughter, Vikki (Greg) Winkler of Punta Gorda, FL; two sons, Gerald (Ellen) Brunelli of Fishers, IN and Michael (Michelle) Brunelli, of North Fond du Lac; ten grandchildren; Bart (Nikol) Winkler of Shorewood, Brett Winkler of Oakland, CA, Brock (Angie) Winkler of Las Vegas, NV, Brent Winkler of Milwaukee, Nick Brunelli, Joe Brunelli, Brandon Brunelli, and Jacob Brunelli all of Fishers, IN, Elise (Chad) Borley of Green Bay and Alex Brunelli of North Fond du Lac; great granddaughter to be January of 2017, Sophia Ann-Marie Winkler; sister-in-law, Arlene Brunelli of North Fond du Lac; and other relatives. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Jacqueline, and a brother, Eugene Brunelli.
Family and friends are invited to gather from 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM on Wednesday, December 21, 2016 at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held at 12:00 PM on Wednesday, December 21, 2016 at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home. Entombment will follow in All Faiths Chapel Mausoleum in Rienzi Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are appreciated to the Fond du Lac or North Fond du Lac Senior Center in Jerry’s name.
