Gerald H. Plonsky, 69, of Waupun, died Tuesday, March 25, 2014 at his residence. He was born January 3, 1945 in Fond du Lac, the son of Harold and Rhea Culver Plonsky. On August 28, 2004 he married Marilyn Toetz. Gerald owned and operated Plonsky Excavating for over 20 years, operated a fur farm raising fox and mink, and retired as an equipment operator in 2001. He was a member of Sturgeons for Tomorrow, Whitetails Unlimited, NRA, Wisconsin Trappers Association, Ducks Unlimited, Eagles Aerie #270, and supported Waupun Youth Hockey. Gerald enjoyed hunting, fishing, trapping at the Horicon Marsh with his brother, Jim, worm farming and loved the outdoors and all wildlife.He is survived by his wife, Marilyn Plonsky, Waupun; three children, Chris (Mark) Binsfeld, Texas, Mike (Angie) Plonsky, Waupun, and Tony (Rachel) Plonsky, Fall River; step children; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; two brothers, Jim (Pat) Plonsky, Fond du Lac and Harry Plonsky, Hartford; three sisters, Fern Plonsky, Racine, Jane Brown, Van Dyne, and Trudy (Marshall) Reysen, Beachwood; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Darlene Plonsky; son, Mark (Kim) Plonsky; brother, Tom Plonsky.
The visitation will be held from 2:00 "“ 6:00 PM on Sunday, March 30, 2014 at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held at 6:00 PM on Sunday, March 30, 2014 at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home.
