Geraldine C. Gerry Poepping

Geraldine C. “Gerry” Poepping, 93, died Monday, June 11, 2018 at Evergreen Sharehaven in Oshkosh. She was born in Fond du Lac on August 1, 1924, a daughter of Frederick and Isabella (Marcoe) Fisher. On May 18, 1946, Geraldine married Dominic V. Poepping in Fond du Lac. He preceded her in death on September 7, 2010.



For many years, Geraldine worked as a bookkeeper for several businesses in the Fond du Lac area. Twice, Geraldine and Dominic went to Texas, working 5 ½ years with Accelerated Christian Education and another six years with Gospel for Asia. Geraldine always loved roses, having several bushes in her garden.



Survivors include four children, Shirley (Harv) Millar of Oshkosh, Sandi (Raul) Hernandez of Arlington, TX, Wayne (Donna) Poepping of Fond du Lac, and Alan Poepping of Milwaukee; son-in-law, Vic Lauderdale of Denton, TX; eighteen grandchildren; twenty-seven great-grandchildren; sister, Alice Osborn of Fond du Lac; two brothers, Kenneth (Beverly) Fisher of Fond du Lac and Roger (Regina) Fisher of Rio Rancho, NM. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; two daughters, Darlene Lauderdale and Joanne Poepping; sister, Grace Marcoe; two brothers-in-law, Roy Marcoe and Eugene Osborn; and sister-in-law, Marlys Fisher.



Visitation will be held from 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM, Saturday, June 16, 2018 at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home, 524 N. Park Ave. in Fond du Lac. A funeral service will follow at 12:00 PM with Rev. Richard Balken, Sr. officiating. Entombment in All Faiths Chapel Mausoleum, Rienzi Cemetery, will follow the services.
