Geraldine H. Freitag

Geraldine H. Freitag, age 86, a resident at Woodlands Senior Park, died Wednesday, October 28, 2009 at St. Agnes Hospital. She was born on September 4, 1923 in Fond du Lac, the daughter of Henry and Laura (Matthews) Detert. On February 25, 1952 she married Russell B. Freitag in Dubuque, IA. He preceded her in death on September 2, 2009. Geraldine retired from SNC Manufacturing in Oshkosh. She was a member of Salem Eldorado Methodist Church. She was a member of Drier-Bushee-Vanderboom American Legion Post #156 in North Fond du Lac for forty-four years. Geraldine enjoyed watching sports especially tennis, crafts, reading, playing games, and most of all loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.SURVIVORS: her daughter Sandra (John) Secord of Fond du Lac, three grandchildren, J.D. (Sharon) Secord of Fond du Lac, Kim (Mark) Feavel of Van Dyne, Jeff (Ann) Secord of Johnsburg, nine great-grandchildren, and nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband Russell, her parents, and one brother, Eugene Detert.



VISITATION: Sunday, November 1, 2009 from 2-4 P.M. at Community United Methodist Church, 701 Minnesota Ave, North Fond du Lac. FUNERAL: Sunday, November 1, 2009 at 4:00 P.M. at Community United Methodist Church with the Reverend Justin Lowe officiating.
