Geraldine J. Holzmann

Our loving mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother and friend passed away on Monday October 13, 2008. We mark and mourn the ending of her earthly life well lived. Geri was so many things to many people. She not only lived her life to its fullest, but also lived to help others do the same. She was born at home in Lamartine to Elsie Helena and Leo Frank Grosse. Her younger school years were spent there also with her four sisters. Marcella (Funk), Jean (Goedderz), Marilyn (Domke), deceased, and Betty (Domenget). After graduating in 1939 from Goodrich High School, she attended Cosmetology school in Milwaukee. Her natural talent carried through her life at salons and home. Other great talents included her cooking, raising money for the church, gardening, and her magical ability to make her family and friends feel so special. In 1944 she married Raymond M. Holzmann of Glenbeulah. They celebrated 58 yrs of marriage before his passing in 2002. Geri was a wonderful mother to three children: R. James Holzmann, Jane C. (Carberry with her husband John), and Jan A. Holzmann. We sadly lost Jan to an accident in 2007. Also surviving her are her loving grandchildren: Barbara, Randy and Rob Holzmann in CA., Jacquelyn (Holzmann, with husband, Josh Dryer) in Chicago, Kimberly Holzmann in St. Louis, Taylor Carberry (serving in Iraq) and wife Amber at Ft. Riley, KS, Brittany (Carberry), Husband Wesley, and their children Aspen, Hayden, and Isabella McCullough at Ft. Gordon, GA. The family wishes to thank the wonderful people at the Fond du Lac Lutheran Home for their loving kindness and help during her last few years. We also thank the Uecker-Witt Funeral Home staff for all of their professional help at this time.



A celebration of Geraldine's life will be held with Liturgy of The Word for Christian Burial services at Our Risen Savior Catholic Church, W8272 Forest Ave, Eldorado, WI on October 27, 2008 at 11:00 AM. Beginning with Visitation from 10:00 AM until the time of Service. An Entombment Service will follow at the Fond du Lac Chapel of the Risen Christ Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be sent in her name to Uecker-Witt Funeral Home at 524 N.
