Gertrude F. Wheatley

Gertrude F. Wheatley, 95, of Malone, died Friday, November 30, 2012, at her residence. She was born April 18, 1917, in Geneseo, IL, the daughter of Robert E. and Florence White Underwood. On September 10, 1937, she married George D. Wheatley in Chicago. He preceded her in death on August 6, 1986. In 2008, she moved to Fond du Lac to be with her son and his wife. Gertrude was formerly employed by Fabrico Manufacturing Company as a machinist. She enjoyed dancing, fishing, hunting, and traveling out West. Surviving is a son, Richard (Suzanne) Wheatley of Malone, a daughter, Jean (Hayes) Lavell of Canton, OH, five grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, and two sisters, Darlene Holland of Geneseo, IL, and Roberta Rouse of Flint, MI. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and three sisters, Geraldine, Frances, and Lois.



There will be no visitation in Fond du Lac. A family memorial service will be held at Gertrude's birth home in Geneseo, IL in April of 2013. Uecker-Witt Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Additional information and guest book may be found at www.ueckerwitt.com
