Gertrude J. Hartman

Gertrude J. Hartman, 84, of Fond du Lac, died Wednesday, November 4, 2015 at Harbor Haven Health and Rehabilitation Center where she had been a resident for the past 18 months. She was born on March 8, 1931, a daughter of Clarence & Margaret Hass. In May of 1948, she married Jack Rosenbaum. He preceded her in death in 1984.



She was employed at Mercury Marine for 25 years, retiring in 1992. Gertrude was a member of Lighthouse Christian Church in Fond du Lac.



Surviving are her 2 daughters; Mary Jo (Michael) Chase of Grand Junction, Colo. and Jackie (Randy) Vander Galien of Fond du Lac; son-in-law, Jim Fisher of Minneapolis, Minn.; 7 grandchildren, Jeff (Rebekah) Fisher, Becky (Bob) Brown, Julie and Jodie Rosenbaum, Ashley and Alyssa Vander Galien and Aryn (Nick) VanFin, Matt (Camie) Chase; 11 great-grandchildren; brother, Robert (Mary); 2 sisters-in-law, Leota and Leona Hass; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her son, Michael Rosenbaum; 3 daughters, Judy and Marlene Rosenbaum and Nancy Fisher; parents, Clarence and Margaret; brothers, Herbert (Cedona), George (Ruth), Gordon and Leonard; sisters, Mary (Marvin) Immel and Agnes (Leo) Murphy.



A visitation for Gertrude will be held Sunday, November 8, 2015 from 2:00 PM – 4:00 PM at Lighthouse Christian Church, 401 S. National Ave. in Fond du Lac. The funeral service will follow the visitation at 4:00 PM with Pastor Richard Balken and Pastor Tim Carlton officiating. Private family burial will take place Monday at Ledgeview Memorial Park Cemetery in Fond du Lac.



In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established for Gertrude.
