Gertrude L. Blau

Gertrude L. Blau, 78, of Fond du Lac, died Wednesday, November 7, 2018 at St. Agnes Hospital. She was born in Fond du Lac on October 8, 1940, a daughter of Harry and Ethel (Bott) LaPine. On August 17, 1957 Gertrude married Stuart Blau in Fond du Lac.



Her and her husband travelled extensively in the 24 years of his Air Force service, across the nation and parts of Europe. She was a member of the Eagles Auxiliary and played golf on the Eaglettes Golf League. She was an avid Milwaukee Brewers, Green Bay Packers and Wisconsin Badgers fan. She liked dancing, fishing, travelling, cruises, and the Eagles Club casino bus trip.



She is survived by her husband, Stuart; daughter, Anjulette (Steven) Ertel; son, Michael; son, Jeffrey; daughter, Patricia (Terrence) Christ; and daughter, Jennifer (special friend, Adrian Gonzalez). She is also survived by her seven grandchildren, Brian (Rachelle) Blau, Sandra (Anthony) Priesgen, Sara (Arin) Hansen, Kimberly Cody (special friend, Anthony Brooks), Matthew Blau (special friend, Kate Bornick), Daniel (Brittany) Christ, John Blau and twelve great-grandchildren.



She is preceded in death by her brothers and sisters, George LaPine, Leonard LaPine, Ben LaPine, Betty Kohnke, Jim LaPine, Alice Palkovich, Audrey Prink and June Burns. She is also preceded by her granddaughter, Christina Marie Cox.



Visitation will be held from 4:00 PM – 7:00 PM, Sunday, November 11. 2018 at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home, 524 N. Park Ave. in Fond du Lac and again at the funeral home, Monday, November 12, 2018 from 10:00 AM – 11:00 AM. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM with burial in Ledgeview Memorial Park Cemetery, Fond du Lac to follow the services.
