Gilbert E. Will

Gilbert Elmer Will, age 71, died September 7th of congestive heart failure. He was born March 23rd, 1937 at home in rural Van Dyne to Herbert and Hazel Will. He was a truck driver and lived most of his life in the Van Dyne area. He married Deanna Bertz on January 23rd, 1960. She died of cancer on April 28th, 1992.Gilbert is survived by five children, Kathryn (Dennis) Sabel (Eagan, MN), Mary Will (Oak Creek), Karyl Will (Eagan, MN), Robert (Laurie) Will (Waupun) and Lisa (Jamie) Vesperman (Appleton) and his daughter-in-law Carol Will (Germantown). He is also survived by grandchildren David, Jonathon & Elizabeth Sabel, Laurel & John Will, Michael Heard and Lucinda, Madeline and Cassius Will.He was preceded in death by his son, John Will, who died January 20th, 2005 from melanoma cancer.Gilbert is also survived by two siblings: Alice (Norman) Wagner and Burnette Warmbier of Oshkosh and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his sister, Mildred, and brother, Clarence.Gilbert is survived by a special friend, Delphine Schmitz, from Kiel and her family.Gilbert was a member of St. Peter's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Fond du Lac. The family would like to express a special thank you for the all the medical care given by Manor Care, Dr. David Bowman, and St. Agnes Hospital.



Visitation for Gilbert Will will be held on Saturday, September 13, 2008 from 9:30 to 11:00 am at St. Peter's Evangelical Lutheran Church 1600 S. Main Street, Fond du Lac, WI. Funeral Services will be held at 11 am at the church. The Rev. Michael Zuberbier will officiate and Burial will be in Rosendale Cemetery in Rosendale, WI.Uecker-Witt Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
