Glenn A. Brunet, age 74, of North Fond du Lac, died Saturday, June 26, 2010 at his residence after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born on May 29, 1936 in Valparaiso, IN, the son of William Ray and Eunice (Loomans) Brunet. On February 8, 1958 he married Darlene Watson in Oshkosh. Glenn worked for the Fond du Lac Fire Department as a firefighter for twenty-six years, and he was also formerly the Union President. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, bird watching, gardening, and watching old movies. He accomplished his lifelong dream, which was to build his own house in City Point, WI. SURVIVORS: former wife, Darlene of Fond du Lac, children, Scott (Carmen) Brunet of Madison, Charlene (Joe) Hess of Fond du Lac, Tod Brunet of Fond du Lac, Craig Brunet of Fond du Lac, Forrest (Dorri) Brunet of North Fond du Lac, five grandchildren, Chaunee Brunet, Jabe Brunet, Ethan Hess, Alaina Hess, and Joe Brunet, sister in law, Yvonne Brunet of Fond du Lac, his companion, Sadie (golden retriever), and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, and his brother, Jaye Brunet.
VISITATION: Thursday, July 1, 2010 from 10:00 A.M. until 12 noon at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home, 524 N. Park Ave, Fond du Lac. FUNERAL: Thursday, July 1, 2010 at 12 noon at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home with Joe Hess officiating. Cremation has taken place.In lieu of flowers, memorials are appreciated in his name.
