We would like to celebrate the life of this amazing woman. She was the firstborn daughter of Melvin and Betty (Burnett) Schultz. Some years later, she was the big sister to many siblings. This was the beginning of a woman who became a wife and then a mother of five unique and loving men. Many years later, she was blessed with grandchildren and great-grandchildren. When we looked at her condensed life it seemed that she could sound ordinary. The bigger picture of her life can be called amazing, anything but ordinary.
Gloria tied together a family unit. She may not have had a job outside of her home. She didn’t need one. She was a woman who loved and cherished her job as a loving wife and mom. All other titles she was given were but a small branch of a large tree.
The only thing she couldn’t do was save the heartbreak everyone was feeling when she was suddenly taken down by her stroke. What she could do was give back a lifetime of memories and pictures. So many stories, laughs and tears. She was a gift.
SURVIVORS
Gloria is survived by her five sons; Jim (Cindy), Dale (Alice), Ron (Shannon), Dave (Sheri) and Mike (Pam), fourteen grandchildren, six great-grandchildren. She is further survived by six sisters and two brothers. Gloria was preceded in death by her husband of 43 years, Dave, her parents, two grandchildren; Jason and Lorra Roen, three brothers; Melvin, Jr., Karl and Bruce Allen and a baby sister.
