Gloria M. Bednarek

Gloria M. Bednarek, 79, formerly of North Fond du Lac and a current resident of All About Life Nursing and Rehab Center for the past two years, died Monday, December 29, 2014 at the home. She was born January 23, 1935 in Campbellsport, the daughter of Oscar and Leona Thelen Warner. On July 18, 1959 she married Richard J. Bednarek, Sr. at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Fond du Lac and he preceded her in death on December 26, 1992. Gloria was a beautician, homemaker and later worked at Miles Kimball in Oshkosh. She was a member of Presentation Church in North Fond du Lac for over 50 years. Gloria enjoyed cooking, solving word and number searches, watching television, and loved to read.



She is survived by two sons, Richard J. (Elizabeth) Bednarek, Jr. of Altoona, IA and David E. (Denise) Bednarek of Fond du Lac; four grandchildren, Hannah (Kurt) Witte, Kelly Bednarek, Taryn Bednarek, and Anthony Bednarek; one great grandchild, Jasmyn Witte; one sister, Elizabeth (Melvin) Mueller of Fond du Lac, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Richard, one brother, Robert, one sister, Patricia.



VISITATION: The visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 31, 2014 from 11:30 A.M. – 1:00 P.M. at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home.



FUNERAL: The funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, December 31, 2014 at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home with Rev. Joseph Dominic officiating. Cremation will follow the traditional services with inurnment in the Shrine of Rest Mausoleum, Ledgeview Memorial Park.



In lieu of flowers memorials are appreciated to Agnesian Hospice Hope.
