GORDON HAKON. HANSENGordon Hakon Hansen, age 94, of Fond du Lac, died Saturday, February 05, 2005 at ManorCare Health Services, where he has been a resident since 1997. He was born on May 11, 1910 in Underhill, WI the son of Hakon Alfred Hansen and Nettie Gunella Nelson Hansen. He was raised in Green Valley, WI. On October 3, 1936 he married Clara C. Olson at Green Valley Evangelical Lutheran Church. While residing in Gillett, Gordon was employed with Baldwin Plywood for fifteen years. They moved to Fond du Lac in 1950. He owned and operated Gordon's Service Station on the corner of Johnson and Hickory streets from 1950 until retirement in 1973 when he and Clara moved to Rhinelander and resided on the Wisconsin River. Gordon served on the Fond du Lac City Council from 1971 to 1973. He was a member of Immanuel-Trinity Lutheran Church in Fond du Lac. He was an avid hunter and fisherman making various trips to Alaska, Wyoming, Montana, and Idaho. He was an honorary lifetime member of Wescot Sportsmen's Club. Gordon enjoyed serving as a licensed fishing guide while residing in Rhinelander. SURVIVORS: two sons, Jordon and his wife Pat of Fond du Lac, Lyle and his wife Kathryn "Kitty" of Fond du Lac, five grandchildren, Lee (Julie) and their children, Nathan and Mitchell of Fond du Lac, James (Sandi) and their children, Grant and Anika of Gurnee, IL, Matthew (Katherine) of Madison, Lizbeth of Madison, and Michael of Fond du Lac, two sisters, Amy Hoffman of Wittenberg, and Janet Tebo of Keaau, HI, and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Clara in April of 1996, an infant son, Douglas, two brothers, Edward and Stuart. Three brother-in-laws Harold Hoffman, John Hosvedt, Marvin Olson and one sister-in-law Effie Olson.



VISITATION: Thursday, February, 10, 2005 from 10:30 A.M. until 1:00 P.M. at Immanuel-Trinity Lutheran Church. FUNERAL: Thursday, February 10, 2005 at 1:00 P.M. at Immanuel-Trinity Lutheran Church with the Reverend Douglas V. Hedman officiating. Burial will take place at Bethel Lutheran Cemetery, Township of Green Valley. Uecker-Witt Funeral Home is serving the family.
