Gordon J. Fuhrmann

Gordon J. Fuhrmann, 77 of Fond du Lac, died Saturday, December 12, 2009 at Grancare Nursing Center, Fond du Lac. He was born on May 10, 1932 in St. Cloud the son of Norman and Cyrilla Schaefer Fuhrmann. Gordon served in the US Navy for four years following graduation from St. Lawrence Seminary. On May 22, 1954 he married Beverly M. Gardner. Gordon worked for the US Postal Service in Fond du Lac, starting in 1960 as a letter carrier and retired in 1991 as Superintendent of Postal Operations. He was a member of Holy Family Parish. Gordon enjoyed volunteering at the EAA in Oshkosh for over 20 years and was a member of the Knights of Columbus. He also enjoyed baseball, golfing, bowling and playing cards. SURVIVORS: his wife, Beverly; one son, Thomas (Selena) Fuhrmann, Oshkosh; one granddaughter, Stephanie Williams; one brother, Vernon Fuhrmann; aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and other relatives. He was preceded in death by his parents and a daughter, Janet Williams.



VISITATION: will be from 4 "“ 6 PM on Wednesday, December 16, 2009 at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home. The memorial service will be held at 6 PM on Wednesday, December 16, 2009 at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home with Deacon Larry Hughes officiating. Cremation has taken place and inurnment will take place at Calvary Cemetery.Uecker-Witt Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
