Gordon H. Rose

Gordon H. Rose, 91, of Fond du Lac, died Tuesday, January 16, 2024 at St. Agnes Hospital.  He was born April 27, 1932 in Fond du Lac, the son of Carl and Mabel (Krieser) Rose.  On November 14, 1953 he married Helen F. James at Church of Peace.  Gordon worked at Mercury Marine until his retirement in 1995.  He was a lifelong member of Church of Peace.  He enjoyed hunting, fishing in walleye tournaments on Lake Winnebago, snowmobiling, spending time up north in the cabin that he built, and loved being with his family.

He is survived by his wife, Helen; three children, Cathy (Jeff) Schaub, Carl (Pamela) Rose, and Craig (Kathy Farr) Rose; seven grandchildren, Michael Schaub, Daniel (CaSandra) Schaub, Gordy (Stephanie) Rose, Nicole Rose, Miranda Rose, Kurtis (fiancée, Michelle Guckenberger) Rose, Savannah (Brian Robinson) Rose; twelve great-grandchildren, Jonah, Dustin, Kylee, Sydney, Bella, Kendal, June, Miraela, Jaelyn, Autumn, Jack, and Talon; one brother, Darwin Rose; nieces, nephews, and other relatives.  He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Carol Jean Rose; brother, Myron (Julie) Rose; sister, Elaine Rose; and sister-in-law, Pat Rose.

The visitation will be held Monday, January 22, 2024 from 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home.  The funeral service will be held at 12:00 PM on Monday at the funeral home.  Burial will follow in Ledgeview Memorial Park Cemetery.
