Grace M. Glaeser

Grace M. Glaeser, 85, died Tuesday, December 8, 2015 at the Hospice Home of Hope in Fond du Lac. “Amazing Grace” as she was affectionately called by her husband, Robert, was born in Manitowoc on May 10, 1930, a daughter of Francis and Marie (Hallisey) DeFaut. On May 13, 1949, she married Robert Glaeser in Manitowoc.

Grace cherished her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She loved to read. In fact, her career of 25 years was that of a Librarian Assistant. In addition, Grace enjoyed playing cards, sewing, going out to eat and shopping.

She is survived by her husband of 66 years, Robert; a daughter, Bonnie (Curt) Bender of Cambria; 4 grandchildren, Chad (Jill) Triatik, Amy (Joe) Hall, Jon (Corey) Bender and James “Jimmer” (Abby) Bender; 8 great-grandchildren, Mitch, Bryce and Chase Triatik, Ashley and Megan Hall, Devin and Tyler Bender, and Hugo and Dalton Bender; a brother-in-law, Ken Gresl; and nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Marilyn Triatik; son-in-law, Gary Triatik; brother, James DeFaut; and sister-in-law, Donna Gresl.

Visitation for Grace will be held Monday, December 14, 2015 from 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home, 524 N. Park Ave. in Fond du Lac. The service will begin at 12:00 PM with burial following in St. Charles Cemetery, Fond du Lac.
