Gregory R. Meinburg

Gregory R. Meinburg, 66, of Fond du Lac, died Saturday, April 9, 2016 at his residence. He was born April 29, 1949 in Milwaukee, the son of Walter and Bernice Meinburg. Gregory served in the U.S. Air Force from 1967 – 1971 and during the Vietnam War from 1968 – 1969. On November 7, 1970 he married Edith E. Lee in England. Gregory worked for Wisconsin Drill Head Company, Giddings & Lewis and retired from Kohler Company in 2003. After retirement he worked part time at Menards in Fond du Lac. Gregory enjoyed hunting, fishing, sturgeon spearing, taxidermy and most of all loved spending time with his family, especially his granddaughters.



He is survived by his wife, Edith; two sons, Jerry Meinburg of Van Dyne and Chad (Alicia) Meinburg of Oakfield; three granddaughters, Marissa, Kya, and Brynn; and other relatives. He was preceded in death by his parents.



The visitation will be held from 4:00 – 6:00 pm Thursday, April 14, 2016 at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home. Cremation has taken place. Military honors will take place at 6:30 pm, lakefront behind Blancks Lake Aire Supper Club, N8751 Lakeshore Drive, Fond du Lac.



In lieu of flowers memorials are appreciated in Gregory’s name to be put towards his granddaughter’s college funds.
