Harold A. HefterHarold A. Hefter, age 81, of 85 N. Park Ave, died Thursday, November 10, 2005 with his family at his side at St. Agnes Hospital. He was born on August 16, 1924 in Byron the son of Henry and Petronella Hilbert Hefter. On February 15, 1947 he married Marjorie Schulze at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Fond du Lac. Harold served in the United States Army, serving in World War II and was part of the occupational troops in Japan. He worked at Mercury Marine for forty-three years, retiring in 1990. He was a member of Local Lodge 1947. Harold enjoyed biking, and spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He enjoyed retirement and his family.SURVIVORS: his wife Marjorie of Fond du Lac, his children, Michael (Patricia) Hefter of Fond du Lac, Linda (Dan Blackburn) Hefter of Howards Grove, Barbara (Kenneth) Fisher of Fond du Lac, John (Deborah) Hefter of Fond du Lac, twelve grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, four sisters, Henrietta Mueller, Mary Foster, Annie Seastrand, Evelyn LaValle, two brothers, Frank and Robert. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Leo and Alex, three sisters, Agnes Grebe, Ruth Gregor, and Dorothy Reis.



Private family services were held on Saturday, November 12, 2005 at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home. Cremation has taken place. Inurnment will be held at Calvary Cemetery at a later date.Harold was a loving husband, father, and grandfather and he will be sadly missed by all.Uecker-Witt Funeral Home is serving the family.
