HAROLD L. CASETTAHarold L. Casetta, 80, lost his battle with cancer on Saturday, August 19, 2006. With great reluctance he left his loving family and friends, and with great reluctance, we let him go.Harold married Hilda M. Otter on May 17,1947 after returning from a tour of duty in the Philippines with the Army during WW II.He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Hilda; two daughters, Cindy (Ross) Barden and Maria (George) Backus; a son, Jim (Sandy) Casetta; three brothers, Pat (Marie), Jerry, and Dave (Patricia) Casetta; two sisters, Sr. Maria Casetta and Bonnie (Barry) Hess; 5 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.Harold was a longtime member of the Knights of Columbus and belonged to Holy Family Catholic Community. After retiring from the Research & Development Department at Speed Queen, he enjoyed woodworking, gardening, creating unique gifts, and spending time with his wife, family and friends.



Visitation will be held on Monday, August 21, 2006 from 10:00 A.M. to 12:30 P.M. at the Uecker-Witt Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, August 21, 2006 at 2:00 P.M. atHoly Family Parish-Sacred Heart Church with Reverend Patrick Heppe officiating. Burial will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery, Eden.In lieu of flowers memorials may be sent to the Salvation Army.Uecker-Witt Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements
