Harriett C. Mccreedy

Harriett C. McCreedy, 93, formerly of South Milwaukee, and a resident of Grancare Nursing Center since June of this year, died at her residence on Thursday, October 21, 2010. She was born September 7, 1917, in South Milwaukee, the daughter of Ignatius and Minna Bratz Wnuk. On September 4, 1937, she married Wilfred G. McCreedy in South Milwaukee. He preceded her in death in 1978. Harriett was a member of the First Congregational Church of South Milwaukee. She enjoyed camping, playing cards, reading, and playing golf. Surviving are two sons, Ronald (Karen) McCreedy of Fond du Lac and Richard McCreedy of Union Grove, two grandchildren, Scott (Sue) and Shawn (Rhonda) McCreedy, and five great-grandchildren, Courtney, Rachel, Karsyn, Rielly, and Mitchell. She is further survived by a sister, Leon (Michael) Kusy of South Milwaukee. Her parents, husband, and a daughter, Marsha, preceded her in death.



Cremation has taken place. Private family services will be in South Milwaukee at a future date with inurnment of cremated remains in the First Congregational Church in South Milwaukee.
