Harry C. Geiger, 85, of 77 Wisconsin American Drive, died Friday, October 21, 2005, at St. Agnes Hospital. He was born June 12, 1920, in the Town of Byron, the son of Charles and Ella Tratow Geiger. On May 13, 1944, he married Mary Lou Schwartz at St. John's Church in the Town of Byron. Mr. Geiger was a lifetime member of Bethel United Church of Christ, a former church council member, and formally served on the Bethel Cemetery Association. He was formerly employed by Fond du Lac Stone while working at his parent's farm. He was later employed by Community Lumber of Eden and Fond du Lac Lumber. Harry was a veteran of WW II serving with the US Army in Europe as part of the 47th Infantry. Surviving are his wife, two daughters, Mary Smit of Fond du Lac, and Sandy (Roy) Surita of Seattle, WA, three sons, Robert (Marianne) Geiger and David (Linda) Geiger, both of Fond du Lac, and Charles (Ann) Geiger of Eden, 11 grandchildren, and 4 great-grandchildren. He is further survived by a brother, Ronald (Thelma) Geiger of Fond du Lac, a sister, Dora Zupke, of Byron, nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends, including Ray Koepsell of Eden. His parents, a brother, Raymond, and a sister, Irene Wagner, preceded him in death.
Visitation for Mr. Harry C. Geiger will be on Sunday, October 23, 2005, from 4 to 8 pm at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home, and on Monday, October 24, 2005, from 1 to 2 pm at Bethel United Church of Christ, N4540 County Trunk K. Funeral services will be at 2 pm on Monday at the church. The Rev. Sharon Stier will officiate and burial will be in Bethel Cemetery.
