HARRY R. WIGHTMANHarry R. Wightman, age 91, of 361 W. Division St, Fond du Lac, died Tuesday, January 17, 2006 at St. Agnes Hospital. He was born on November 22, 1914 in New Munster, WI the son of George A. and Mary A. Bieneman Wightman. On January 21, 1939 he married Ethel L. Morgan in Ripon. She preceded him in death on November 23, 2005. He served in the United States Army Infantry from November of 1942 until March of 1943. Harry was a Fond du Lac area resident since 1920. He worked as a Truck Driver for Gross Common Carrier for over fifty years retiring in 1974. After retirement he drove school bus for Johnson Bus for ten years. Harry was a member of Fond du Lac Eagles Aerie 270 for over forty years.SURVIVORS: his son David (Sandra) Wightman of Fond du Lac, two grandsons, Eric Wightman of Milwaukee, Doug (Meghan) Wightman of Gurnee, IL, two great-granddaughters, Sydney and Alexis. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Ethel, one brother, and two sisters.
VISITATION: Friday, January 20, 2006 from 4-7 P.M. at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home. FUNERAL: Funeral Services will be held at 7:00 P.M. at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home with the Reverend John Radetski officiating. Cremation will follow the traditional services with inurnment at Avoca Cemetery, Oakfield. The family wishes to thank all of the special friends and the watchful neighborhood who have helped and looked out for Harry and Ethel. Uecker-Witt Funeral Home is serving the family.
