Harvey E. BoettcherHarvey E. Boettcher, 90, formerly of 21 8th Street, and currently a resident of Grancare Nursing Center, died there on Friday, April 18, 2008. He was born August 11, 1917, in Oshkosh, the son of Michael E. and Florence M. Hartwig Boettcher. On July 22, 1947, he married Mary Dowd in Ocnomowoc, WI. She preceded him in death on January 27, 1993. Mr. Boettcher was a member of Holy Family Parish where he was an usher at St. Joseph's Church for many years. He was formerly employed by the Chicago Northwestern Railroad for 34 years, retiring in 1982. Harvey was a veteran of the US Army serving from November 7, 1939 to October 31, 1945. His active duty included Normandy, Northern France, the Ardennes, and the Rhineland campaigns. He was a 4th Degree member of Knights of Columbus Council #664, a member of the Izaak Walton League, and enjoyed fishing, making fishing poles and birdhouses.Surviving are five daughters, Patricia (John) Lauer of Princeton, Susan (Robert) Woodbridge of Norcross, Ga, Judith (Gary) Freismuth of Fond du Lac, Nancy Boettcher of Prosser, WA, and Christine (Steve) Mulligan of West Bend; two sons, William (Jaimee) Boettcher of Alpharetta, GA, and Michael Boettcher of West Bend. He is further survived by seven grandchildren, Christine (Shawn) Ness, James Skrenes, Benjamin Lauer, Maxwell Boettcher, Alex Boettcher, Kimberly Boettcher, and Charles Boettcher, and four great grandchildren, Timothy, Caitlin, Keeley, and Brianna. His wife, a son, Timothy Boettcher and three brothers, Lawrence, Joseph and Ervin Boettcher, preceded him in death.



Visitation for Mr. Harvey E. Boettcher will be on Tuesday, April 22, 2008, from 2 to 5 pm at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home. Liturgy of The Word for Christian Burial services will be at 5 pm at the funeral home. The Rev. James Jaeger will officiate and inurnment of cremated remains will at the Shrine of Rest Mausoleum, Ledgeview Memorial Park Cemetery. The family requests that memorials be directed to Agnesian Hospice Hope. Uecker-Witt Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
