Hazel I. Tuxhorn, 87, formerly of 423 Thomas Street and resident of the Fond du Lac Lutheran Home since 1999, died Tuesday, November 21, 2006 at the home. She was born in Sherry, WI on January 7, 1919 the daughter of George and Barbara Paul Lingford. On May 1, 1937 she married Arthur H. Tuxhorn. Hazel had worked in retail sales with Prange's, Prange Way, Kresge's, Newberry's and Copps. She was a member of the United Church of Christ-Church of Peace. Hazel enjoyed decorating cakes, sewing and flowers. SURVIVORS: one son Leland "Lee" (Gladys) Tuxhorn, Fond du Lac; one daughter, Maxine Knaak, Fond du Lac; one foster daughter, Audrey Ferris, Fond du Lac; 15 grandchildren; 32 great grandchildren; 9 great great grandchildren; eight siblings, Margaret Heitman, Nekoosa, WI, Luella Rademann (special friend Art), Greenwood, WI, Carol (Frank) Woehrle, Marshfield, WI, Judy (Jerry) Lyrenmann, Marshfield, WI, Donald (Phyllis) Lingford, Wausau, WI, Harold (Ethel) Lingford, Arpin, WI, David (Margaret) Lingford, Auburndale, WI, Robert (Joan) Lingford, Marshfield, WI; three sisters-in-laws, Marion Tuxhorn, Betty Tuxhorn and Ellen Tuxhorn, all of Wisconsin Rapids, WI. Hazel was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Arthuron April 14, 1999; one daughter, Myrene Wojkiewicz; five grandchildren; two great grandchildren; four sisters, Mildred, Ruth, Bernice and Joan; one brother, Vernon.
VISITATION: will be Friday, November 24, 2006 from 12 "“ 2 PM at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held at 2 PM on Friday at the funeral home with Rev. Sharon Stier officiating. Burial will follow at Estabrooks Cemetery. Uecker-Witt Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
