Heather Holstein Kozlowski

Heather Holstein Kozlowski, 43, died unexpectedly at her home in Oak Creek, Wisconsin on September 3, 2022. She was born on September 19, 1978, in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin to Ruth Bosserman Holstein and the late Stephen Holstein. Heather grew up in Fond du Lac, graduating from Goodrich High School in 1997. She was confirmed at First Presbyterian Church in Fond du Lac, where she was active in youth group, participating in several mission trips. She attended Carroll College in Waukesha, Wisconsin, graduating with a BA in Psychology in 2001. She attended graduate school at UW-La Crosse, earning a Master of Science in Education, Education Specialist degree in School Psychology in 2003. Heather was married to Joel Kozlowski from their wedding on July 30, 2009, until his death in 2010. Heather had a passion for helping young children, and she worked as a school psychologist in several school districts in Wisconsin for 19 years. Heather enjoyed camping, hiking, watching movies, and spending time with her family, and she especially loved interacting with her young nephew and nieces. She loved dogs, particularly her adopted furry friend, Penny.

Heather is survived by her mother, Ruth Holstein of Fond du Lac, her sister, Hillary (Paul Musiala) Holstein of Madison, and her brother, Andrew (Jessica Drewry) Holstein of Starkville, Mississippi. She is also survived by her nephew, Leo Musiala, and her nieces, Eleanor Holstein and Sylvia Musiala. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joel Kozlowski, her father, Stephen Holstein, and both sets of grandparents.

Visitation will be held from 4:00-6:00 PM on Friday, September 16, 2022, at First Presbyterian Church, 1225 4th Street, Fond du Lac, 54935, and then again on Saturday, September 17, 2022, from 9:30 AM – 11:00 AM. A Memorial Service will be held at the church after the visitation on Saturday at 11:00 AM. Cremation has taken place.
