Helen E. Thorsby

Helen E. Thorsby, 84, passed away peacefully at home with her family by her side on August 20, 2007. She was the daughter of Arnold and Alma Caseday Schindler. Helen was born on January 5, 1923, in Hoodriver, OR. Helen later moved to Arizona where she met and married Chester Jacobs in 1942. They had four children; Jack Jacobs, and Jay (Cindy) Jacobs, both of Las Vegas, Mary Felix of Colovo, CA, and Alma Harnsberger of Eureka, CA. Chester died in 1953, Helen remarried in 1957 to Gerald Thorsby. They had three children; Jerry Thorsby, Christine Thorsby, and Bob (Deb) Thorsby, all of Fond du Lac. They moved to Fond du Lac in 1969. A brother, Gene Schindler of Sedan, KA, two sisters; Genevieve Twiss and Virginia Harp, both of Eureka, CA. 13grandchildren, and 14 great-grandchildren, further survive Helen. She was preceded in death by her parents, both husbands, a son, Jack Jacobs, two granddaughters, Genevieve Rose Thorsby and Kimberly Ann Jacobs, a great-grandson, Anthony Feliz, and a brother, Jay Arnold Schindler



At Helen's request, there will not be any funeral services. A family memorial service will be held at a later date. Cremation will take place with inurnment of cremated remains to be interred in California with her parents.A special thanks to Hospice and Comfort Keepers for their wonderful care and help, and to three special friends, Lee, Judy, and Melora.
