Helen Jane Brajdic, 96, formerly of Kelly Road, passed away at St. Francis Home where she has been a resident for the last 14 months. She was born November 17, 1920 in Fond du Lac, the only child of George and Loretta (Haessly) McCullough. She married Elmer “Sarge” Brajdic on May 25, 1967 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Fond du Lac and he preceded her in death on December 16, 1997. Helen Jane was employed at Concord Cheese in her younger years. She was a very devoted Catholic. Helen Jane was a member of Holy Family Parish, Daughters of Isabella. She enjoyed playing in many card clubs.
She is survived by a step daughter, Donna (Randy) Lawry of Hutchinson, KS; step granddaughter, Kecia (Stephen) Veskobius of Shreveport, LA; step great grandchildren, Vivian and Nathan; godson, Patrick (Mary) Mangan and goddaughter, Joyce (Mark) Adelman, both of Fond du Lac; other cousins, relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Elmer; and step daughter, Ashley Scott; cousins, John McCullough, Eileen McCullough, Bernice Konen and Dorothy Mangan; and other relatives and friends.
The visitation will be held from 11:00 AM – 12:00 PM on Saturday, September 23, 2017 at Sacred Heart Church, Holy Family Parish. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 12:00 PM on Saturday, September 23, 2017 at Sacred Heart Church, Holy Family Parish. Burial will follow in St. Matthew’s Cemetery in Campbellsport.
Helen Jane and her family would like to thank the staff at the St. Francis Home, especially the serenity unit for the excellent care she received, also the neighbors of Kelly Road for all the help they gave Helen over the years, and especially Tom, Carol, Destiny, and Josh for being there for Helen.
