Helen Klein

Helen Klein, 91, formerly of Oakfield, died Monday, March 30, 2015 at Tower View Villa in Rosendale. She was born June 27, 1923 in Fond du Lac, the daughter of Nicholas and Gramatiki Huliasmano Caramanidis. On February 10, 1945 she married Howard A. Klein in Fond du Lac. Helen worked at Ruepings for many years until her and Howard started farming in 1951. She was a member of Covenant United Methodist Church. Helen milked two herds of cows twice each day and took pride in her apple orchard selling and or giving away the fruits. She also was a great cook and enjoyed gardening.



She is survived by one sister, Ann Protogere of Appleton; two brothers, Gus Caramanidis of North Fond du Lac and Alex (Winifred) Caramanidis of Eldorado; one sister-in-law, Ellene Caramanidis of Oshkosh; special friends, Rick and Jeannie Weston of Oakfield; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Howard; one sister, Mary (John) Hendricks; two brothers, Anist and Mike Caramanidis; one brother-in-law, George Protogere.



Private family services will be held at the Shrine of Rest Mausoleum, Ledgeview Memorial Park. Entombment will follow the services.



The family extends a special thank you to Barb and the staff at Tower View Villa for the wonderful care given to Helen over the years.
