July 17, 1920 — October 17, 2008

Ost, Helen S. (nee Shriner) passed away at the Hospice Home of Hope in Fond du Lac on Friday, October 17, 2008. A resident of Oakfield, WI, former longtime resident of Milwaukee. Loving mother of Nancy (Chester) Jaeger, Eva (Thomas) Maxwell, and Teri Beau Manowske (John). Proud grandmother of Amy (Joseph) Raml, Brian (Lisa) Jaeger, Rachel Maxwell, Nicki (Paul) Batchelder, Charlie Beau, and one step-grandchild, Morgan Manowske. Proud great-grandmother of Helena and James Jaeger, Ethan and Leyton Batchelder. She was preceded in death her husband, Ray, sister, Janice Legleiter, great-grandson, Elliot Batchelder, and special friend, Norbert Hartmann. She was a classroom teacher for the Milwaukee Public Schools retiring in 1984. In addition to teaching, Helen was a volunteer bowling coach for the Gross-Yaksh No.6498's Youth Activities in Milwaukee for thirty years.



Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 22, 2008 from 4-8 P.M. at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home, 524 N. Park Ave, Fond du Lac, and again on Thursday morning at the funeral home from 10-11 A.M. Funeral Services will be held Thursday, October 23, 2008 at 11:00 A.M. at the funeral home.
