Henry (Hank) Bruno Rozylowicz, age 91, of Ripon, Wisconsin, died on October 29, 2022, at Prairie Place Assisted Living, Ripon, Wisconsin. Henry was born in Poland in the town of Gródek Jagielloński, on May 25, 1931, the third oldest son of Marian Nicholas and Gisela (Lautsch) Rozylowicz. The family miraculously survived the horrors and deprivations of World War II, first being conscripted by the German Army, then liberated by the Allied Forces and resettled in a Displacement Camp in Wildflecken, Germany before emigrating to the United States in 1949, initially arriving in New Orleans, Louisiana then relocating to Chicago, Illinois under sponsorship of the Polish National Alliance (PNA). Henry served honorably in the Army of the United States, 129th Infantry Regiment, Fort Lewis, Washington and received the National Defense Service Medal followed by 8 years in the Army Reserve. Although minimally educated, Henry was successful in many managerial positions throughout his life; first as a laborer then progressing through management ranks until retirement.
Henry is preceded in death by his first wife, Anna and son, Bruno; brothers, Joe (Zbigniew) and Fred (Zdzislaw); sisters, Christine and Helen. Henry is survived by brothers, John and Edward (Dolores); and numerous nephews and nieces.
No planned memorial services will be held for Henry and his wishes to be cremated are honored. His internment is to be determined.
Condolences may be sent to brother John or Edward by letter, phone, or e-mail. No contributions are solicited nor expected but hope that Henry will remain in his extended families’ thoughts and prayers.
