Henry "Harry" H. Stephany, 93 of North Fond du Lac, died Thursday, May 2, 2013 at the Fond du Lac Lutheran Home. He was born in Malone on October 24, 1919 the son of Gregor and Johanna Freund Stephany. On September 15, 1945 he married Dolores M. Brandt at St. Mary's Church rectory. Dolores preceded him in death in May 2005. He attended St. Mary's Grade School and was a 1938 graduate of Fond du Lac Senior High School. Henry was a veteran of World War II serving with the 820th Aviation Engineers and was stationed in the Southeast Pacific from 1943 to 1945.He was employed with the Chicago Northwestern Railroad for 32 years working as a car man. Henry's faith was very important to him as he was a longtime member of Presentation Catholic Church, North Fond du Lac. He was a 50 year member of the Knights of Columbus Council No.664. He enjoyed watching the Green Bay Packers, Wisconsin Badgers, cow boy movies, loved "Happy Hour" each day and playing cards. Henry was a very loving husband, father, grandfather.SURVIVORS: Henry is survived by two daughters, Nancy (Terry) Morris, North Fond du Lac, Mary (Mark) Rushing-Albrecht, North Fond du Lac, six grandchildren; Noah (Amy) Lobajeski, Fond du Lac, Sasha (Duane) German. Austin, TX, Becky ( Todd) Marquardt, Van Dyne, Adam (Michelle) Rushing, St. Peter, Andrew (Vicky) Rushing, Fond du Lac, Amy Rushing, Fond du Lac, Aaron Rushing, Fond du Lac, eleven great grandchildren; Hailey, Taylor, Taner, Kendra, Jack, Anya, Olivia, Jaden, Zander, Luke and Alexandra. He is further survived by a daughter-in-law, Lynn Stephany, Oshkosh, one sister-in-law Marilys Herbert, Belgium, WI and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, a son Thomas John Stephany, one granddaughter Nichol Mueller, three brothers, Milton, Robert, Dick Stephany, three sisters, Adeline Brandt, Rita Sciogletti, and Irma Zerneke.
VISITATION: Friends may call on Monday, May 6, 2013 from 4-7 PM at the Uecker-Witt Funeral Home and on Tuesday from 10:00 AM until the time of services at the funeral home.FUNERAL: Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday, May 7, 2013 at the Uecker-Witt Funeral Home. Deacon Paul Monzel will officiate. Entombment will follow at the Chapel of The Risen Christ Mausoleum, Calvary Cemetery.
