Henry Johnson, age 93, of Fond du Lac, died Sunday, October 2, 2016 at the Fond du Lac Lutheran Home. He was born on October 19, 1922 in Freeport, IL the son of Albert and Grace (Franzen) Johnson. Henry married Marilyn Woessner in Shannon, IL on January 20, 1945. Henry was born and raised in Shannon, IL and farmed there until moving to Stoughton around 1958. He then farmed in Stoughton until moving to Fond du Lac in 1965. He then owned and operated Club Century in Fond du Lac for many years. In 1969 Henry along with his sons Larry and Stan started Johnson Bros Concrete. Henry enjoyed hunting and fishing and was a huge lifelong Chicago Cubs fan.
Survivors include five children, Larry (Sandy) Johnson of Fond du Lac, Twila Pearson of Milwaukee, Stanley (Melanie) Johnson of Fond du Lac, Duane Johnson of Burnett, Lyle Johnson of Fond du Lac; nine grandchildren, Debbie (Mike) Gillard, Julie (Mark) Blaha, Lori (Brant) Mauer, Michelle (Larry) Strock, Trudi (Kurt) Bartus, Rebecca (Jeff) Groleau, Maureen (Jas) Hurd, Gwen Wolfe, Stephanie (Craig) Mason; twenty great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Dennis Johnson; one grandson, Michael Hagen; his former wife, Marilyn.
Private family services will be held. Cremation has taken place.
