HILDA A. KELNHOFERHilda A. Kelnhofer, age 97, died Wednesday, October 13, 2004 at the Fond du Lac Lutheran Home. She was born on September 1, 1907 in Maple Creek, WI, the daughter of William C. and Minnie Gottgetrue Frank. On September 26, 1930 she married Engelbert J. Kelnhofer in Milwaukee. He preceded her in death on February 5, 1975. She was a Plant Scheduler for Wisconsin Telephone Company; she also worked for ten years as head switchboard operator at the Playboy Club. She lived in Milwaukee from 1928 to 1948 then moved to Lake Geneva, she then moved to Fond du Lac in 1978. Hilda was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church for twenty-five years, she was involved in the Ladies Aide. She was a member of the Communication Workers of America (CWA), and Telephone Pioneers. She enjoyed crossword puzzles, sewing, needlework, and ceramics. She enjoyed traveling and was always ready to go.SURVIVORS: two sons, Richard (Peggy) Kelnhofer of Lyons, WI, Donald (Carol) Kelnhofer of Fond du Lac, five grandchildren, Mark, Kim, Rick, Sue, and Jodi, ten great-grandchildren, and many other relatives. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Bert Kelnhofer, two brothers, and four sisters, and one infant brother.



VISITATION: Saturday, October 16, 2004 from 10:00 A.M. until 12:00 P.M. at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 855 Martin Ave, Fond du Lac. FUNERAL: Saturday, October 16, 2004 at 12:00 P.M. at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church with the Reverend Paul Kolander officiating. Burial will take place on Monday at Wisconsin Memorial Park, Brookfield, WI. Memorials may be directed to Good Shepherd Lutheran Church.Uecker-Witt Funeral Home is serving the family.
