Hilda Casetta

Hilda Casetta, 84, of Rio Rancho, New Mexico passed away peacefully on May 18, 2011. She was born May 6, 1927 in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin. She married Harold L. Casetta at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Fond du Lac in 1947. She is survived by her daughter Cindy (Ross) Barden of Fond du Lac, her daughter Maria (George) Backus of Albuquerque, New Mexico, and her son Jim (Sandy) Casetta of Augusta, Wisconsin, five grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandson, her sister Marge Pauliot of Fond du Lac, along with many nieces and nephews. Her husband preceded her in death in 2006.Hilda was a graduate of Marian College and taught at Robert's Elementary School in Fond du Lac and at St. Patrick's School in Ripon. An enthusiast of Wisconsin history, Hilda and Harold enjoyed touring historical sites in Wisconsin and other states. She was an avid collector of thimbles and stamps. She had a special interest in birds, especially hummingbirds. Hilda's gentle kindness will be greatly missed by her family and friends.



VISITATION: Saturday, May 21, 2011 from 1-3 P.M. at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home, 524 N. Park Ave, Fond du Lac, WI. FUNERAL: Saturday, May 21, 2011 at 3:00 P.M. at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home with Deacon Larry Hughes officiating. Burial will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery in Eden, Wisconsin.
