Hildagarde A. Birkholz

Hildegarde A. Birkholz, 93, of Fond du Lac, died Saturday, March 25, 2017 at her home. She was born October 7, 1923 in West Bend, the daughter of Nicholas and Loretta Niebler Schneider. Hildegarde married Darrell Harvey and later married Edward Birkholz on May 17, 1953 and they both preceded her in death. She was a member of Holy Family Parish, Sacred Heart Church. Hildegarde enjoyed cooking, watching movies, yardwork, playing sheepshead, and loved her dogs, Pepper, Sandy, Dexter, and Barney.



She is survived by two daughters, Diane Harvey and Barb Birkholz, both of Fond du Lac; one brother, Bernard Greninger of Sturgeon Bay; two sisters, Elizabeth Cline of Evanston, IL and Virginia “Jean” Berendes of Raleigh, NC; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward; an infant brother, Joseph; four sisters, Cecelia Schneider, Marie (Arno) Ramel, Olive “Polly” (Bill) Gavin, and Rosemary (John) Drott; two brothers-in-law, William Cline and Carlton Berendes; one sister-in-law, Dorothy Greninger.



The visitation will be held from 12:00 – 2:00 PM on Thursday, March 30, 2017 at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home. The Liturgy of the Word will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, March 30, 2017 at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Holy Angels Cemetery in West Bend.
