Hollie Joy Hanson

Hollie Joy Hanson, age 69, of Fond du Lac, passed away peacefully in her sleep after a 3-year battle with brain cancer on Saturday, July 30, 2022. She was born on December 2, 1952, in Sheboygan, the daughter of Harvey and Elaine (DeBruin) Gross. Hollie graduated from Goodrich High School in 1970 and went on to MPTI for nursing school. Hollie worked in nursing for many years until she retired in 2015 from Agnesian Healthcare. She enjoyed music, camping, traveling with her husband, spending time with her grandchildren and family and friends. She was a member of The Senior Center Red Hats Choir, South Shore Chorale and sang in church choir. She was a member of Church of Peace where she served as a Sunday School teacher and council member. Hollie always put her family first and had an open heart for anyone that needed it.



She is survived by her husband, Lawrence “Larry” of 51 years; three children, Chantelle (Felipe “Toby”) Hanson Ramirez, Heidi (Mark Toerpe) Hickey, and Ashley Stephen (Colleen) Hanson; one brother, Quinn (Phyllis) Gross; seven grandchildren, Siera (Tyler) Williams, Corrine Ramirez, Julia Hickey, James Hickey, Carmen Hickey, Maria Hanson, and Bradley Hanson; and other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; twin brothers, Rocky and Reed Gross; and her in-laws.



Visitation will take place on Thursday, August 4, 2022, from 3:00 PM until 5:00 PM at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home. A funeral service will follow the visitation at the funeral home at 5:00 PM. Cremation has taken place.
