Idell Christine Hayek Price, 90, of North Fond du Lac, died peacefully, Saturday, March 2, 2013 at the Fond du Lac Lutheran Home, with her son by her side. She was born in Phlox on May 8, 1922, the daughter of Clara Butler and Wenzel Hayek. She married James Arthur Price on June 19, 1948, at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Phlox. He preceded her in death on June 3, 1972.Jim and Idell moved from Antigo to Fond du Lac in 1956 and to North Fond du Lac in 1960. Idell cherished living and raising her family in North Fond du Lac. She was a member of Presentation Catholic Church and worked as a 'lunch lady' at Presentation School. She also worked for Wells Manufacturing Corporation and was a bartender. Idell was a fun-loving, caring person who adored spending time with family and friends, especially when playing sheepshead, Yahtzee, cribbage, or poker. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were her greatest joy. Idell was skilled in the art of knitting and crocheting and her handiwork, shared by her entire family, is a part of the legacy she leaves behind. In recent years, Idell treasured playing Bingo with her friends at the Fond du Lac Senior Center and at the Northgate Apartments in North Fond du Lac.Idell is survived by her children, Daniel (Mary), Eugene (Karen), Janet Tetzloff (Donald), and Todd (Linda). She is also survived by her daughter-in-law, Cheryl Price and her son-in-law, Charles Neuman; 17 grandchildren, Andrea Price (Keith Grieser), Samantha Price, Moises Price-Neuman, Francina Price-Neuman, Emilia Price-Neuman, Steve Mueller (Jodi), Nichole Rusniaczek (Rob), Jamie Eithun (Eric), James Price (Sarah), Joseph Price (Krissi), Ann Volkman (Scott), Alicia Garcia (Devan), Christopher Tetzloff (Mayra), Rachel Galey (Joseph), Melissa Braaflat (Andy), Michael Price, and Sarah Price; 18 great-grandchildren, Holly, Sydney, Alex, and Derek Mueller, Dolce and Zosia Rusniaczek, Callie, Jacob, and Mattie Isaac, Aidan and Emerson Price, Elena Price, Emily Hanson, Isabelle and Isaac Garcia, Gavin McCreary and Brody and Chloe Braaflat; sisters, Christine Keen, Marie Now, and Caroline Verhasselt (Pat); brother, Clarence (Bud) Hayek. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her son, David, and daughter, Kathleen Price-Neuman; brothers, Richard Hayek and Wenzel HayekJr., and sisters, Rose Schultz, Dorothy Rank, and Helen Brooks.
VISITATION: Friends may call on Friday, March 8, 2013 from 4 to 8 P.M. at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home, 524 North Park Avenue, Fond du Lac. FUNERAL: Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Saturday, March 9, 2013 at 11:00 A.M. at Presentation Catholic Church, 705 Michigan Ave., North Fond du Lac. Reverend Roy Mateljan officiating. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery.
