Ione M. Hodgden

Ione M. HodgdenIone M. Hodgden, 78, formerly of 70 South Lane Apt. B and currently a resident of ManorCare Nursing Home died Friday, October 22, 2004 at the nursing home. Ione was born February 21, 1926 in Fond du Lac, a daughter of Arnold "Butch" and Mildred Iserloth Rohlfs. On May 30, 1954 she married Ralph Hodgdens in Fond du Lac. Ione was employed at Wells Manufacturing and also at Brickle's Tavern as a cook for many years. She also babysat for many years in home daycare. She volunteered many hours for the Fond du Lac Food Pantry. She enjoyed bowling, playing cards, spending time with family and friends, and spending time in Red Granite camping. She loved her grandchildren.Survivors include her husband; Ralph of Fond du Lac, three children; Sue Ann Steffen of Fond du Lac, Jeffrey (Bonnie) Hodgden of Brandon, Sheila Hodgden of Fond du Lac, four grandchildren; Shane Steffen of Fond du Lac, Courtney, Kendell, and Hunter Hodgden of Brandon, one sister; Arlyle (Kenneth) Towne of Eldorado, brothers and sisters-in-law; June Bond of Fond du Lac, Kenneth (Mary) Hodgden of Fond du Lac, Evelyn (Jim) Mueller of Fond du Lac, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, two children; Joanne Marie and Jeffrey James, two sisters; Catherine Towne and Carol Otte, one grandson; Jeffrey Allan Hodgden Jr., one niece and two nephews.



Visitation for Mrs. Hodgden will be held on Tuesday, October 26, 2004 from 4-8 P.M. at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home and again on Wednesday, October 27, 2004 from 10:30 A.M. until the time of services at Church of Our Savior Evangelical Lutheran Church. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, October 27, 2004 at 11:30 A.M. at Church of Our Savior Evangelical Lutheran Church with the Rev. Duane Wisner officiating. Burial will follow at Rosendale Cemetery. A memorial has been established in Ione's name. Uecker-Witt Funeral Home is serving the family.
