Irene C. Guell

Irene C. Guell, 76, of 47 Winnebago Lane, Fond du Lac, died Wednesday, April 4, 2007, at the Hospice Home of Hope. She was born October 23, 1930 at home in North Fond du Lac, the daughter of Frank and Eleanor Miller Reszka. On September 11, 1946, she married Irving H. Guell. Irene was a member of Holy Family Parish. She was employed by Petrie's Restaurant for over 40 years as a waitress. She was an avid bowler for many years, going to the Nationals for 16 years. Irene was a member of the Foster Grandparents Program at Pier Elementary School from January of 1993 to 2006. She loved the game of golf and was an ardent follower of Tiger Woods.Surviving are two daughters; Karen (Gene) Price of North Fond du Lac, and Julie (Herman) Basuki of Antigo, WI, a son, Michael (Linda) Guell of Fond du Lac, nine grandchildren; Casey, Brian, Corey, Joe (Krissi), Ann, Lisa (Ed), Sara (Jim), Nico, and Julian and seven great-grandchildren. She is further survived by a sister, Rosie (Darwin) Mildebrandt of North Fond du Lac, two sisters-in-law; Jane and Betty Reszka, both of North Fond du Lac, and her former husband, Irving H. Guell, of Fond du Lac. Her parents, a son, David, three brothers; Earl, John, and Roman, a sister, Dorothy Winter, and a brother-in-law, Gene Winter, preceded her in death.



Visitation for Mrs. Irene C. Guell will be on Sunday, April 8, 2007, from 4 to 8 pm at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home. Family prayers will be on Monday, April 9, 2007, at 9:30 am at the funeral home and Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10 am at Sacred Heart Church. The Rev. Patrick Heppe will officiate and entombment will be in the Chapel of The Risen Christ Mausoleum, Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established in Irene's name.
