Iris M. Rogers

Iris M. Rogers, 85, of Waupun, died Thursday, August 27, 2015 at Hospice Home of Hope. She was born February 23, 1930 in Weyauwega, WI, the daughter of William and Ona Quade Hirte. On November 14, 1953 she married Clifford A. Rogers at St. Peter’s Church in Weyauwega and he preceded her in death on September 4, 1993. Iris was an active member of Pella Lutheran Church in Waupun. She enjoyed watching news programs, visiting with people, going out to eat, dancing, and especially loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.



She is survived by her three daughters, Sally (Bill) Wendt of DeForest, Lori Bresser of Oakfield, and Jana (Al) Bearder of Hatfield; seven grandchildren, Melissa Wendt, Elizabeth Wendt, Emily Bresser, Eric (Ashley) Bresser, Sara (Zach) VanBuren, Dawn (Brad) Ferry, and Derek (Karissa) Hull; ten great grandchildren, Tyler and Olivia Holz, Isabelle Davies, Blake and Dylan Bresser, Mackenzie Bentley, Olivia VanBuren, Corey and Braden Ferry and Paxton Hull. She is further survived by two sisters-in-law, Joni Bahr and Jeanette (Glen) Carlson, all of Pine River; nieces, nephews, and other relatives. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Clifford; an infant son, Brett; an infant brother, David; one sister, Cecile Hirte; and two brothers, Ben (Kathryn) Hirte and Duane Hirte.



The visitation will be held from 10:00 – 11:30 am on Monday, August 31, 2015 at Pella Lutheran Church, 315 South Madison Street in Waupun.

The funeral service will be held at 11:30 am on Monday, August 31, 2015 at Pella Lutheran Church in Waupun. Burial will follow in Pine River Cemetery.



Memorials in Iris’s name may be directed to Hospice Home of Hope.



The family extends a special thank you to the Agnesian Hospice nurses and the staff of Hospice Home of Hope for the care and compassion given to Iris and her family over the last months.
