Irvin J. Huberty

Irvin J. Huberty, age 78, of Fond du Lac, died Wednesday, October 8, 2014. He was born on July 16, 1936 in Fond du Lac, the son of Irvin and Marcella (Kovaleske) Huberty. He served in the U.S. Army National Guard 32nd Division C from 1959-1964. Irvin graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh with a major in Liberal Arts and a minor in Economics. Irvin worked at Holz Motors as the finance manager for forty years retiring in July of 2005. He enjoyed deer hunting, gardening, traveling the United States especially Route 66 with Joan Balthazor and his grandchildren, pheasant hunting in North Dakota, grouse hunting in Wisconsin, but most of all his priority was spending time with his family. He spent his two weeks vacation every year with his children.



SURVIVORS: three children, Sara (Patrick) Knapp of Menasha, Luke (Deborah) Huberty of Greendale, Rachel (Daniel) Prodoehl of Fredonia; his lifetime partner, Joan Balthazor; eight grandchildren, Patrick E. Knapp, Scarlett Knapp, Gabriel Knapp, Melchior Knapp, Lauren Huberty, Declan Huberty, Liam Prodoehl, and Colin Prodoehl; two sisters, Mary Jane Joslin of Redwood City, CA, Joan (Martin) Hermans of Cape Coral, FL; one brother in law, Harvey Zehren of Fond du Lac, and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Alfred Huberty; and two sisters, Patricia Zehren and Janet Huberty.



VISITATION: Tuesday, October 14, 2014 from 3-7 P.M. at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home, 524 N. Park Ave, Fond du Lac, WI, 54935. FUNERAL: Wednesday, October 15, 2014 at 11:00 A.M. at Sacred Heart Church-Holy Family Parish, 200 S. Peters Ave, Fond du Lac, WI, 54935. Friends may call on Wednesday at the church from 10:00 A.M. until the time of services. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery. Trier-Puddy American Legion Post #75 will conduct military graveside honors.
