Isabelle R. "Issy" Freeman, 88, formerly of W5351 Garden Drive, Fond du Lac, died peacefully on Friday, July 29, 2005, at Grancare Nursing Center where she had been a resident for the past 2½ years. She was born January 19, 1917, in Oshkosh, the daughter of Anton and Rose Rushesky. On May 17, 1947, she married Guy Freeman at St. Josephat Catholic Church in Oshkosh. Mrs. Freeman was a member of Holy Family Parish-St. Louis Church, the Daughters of Isabella, member and past President of the St. Ann Society of St. Louis, and the Mission Group at St. Louis Church. She enjoyed participating in golf and bowling leagues. Isabelle was formerly employed by Giddings & Lewis for over 30 years, retiring in 1982.Surviving is her husband, Guy, a son, Mark of Madison, two sisters, her twin, Paula (Ray) Commo of Fond du Lac, and Katherine Klabunde of Oshkosh, a brother, Ralph (Ceil) Rushesky of Oshkosh, a sister-in-law, Loretta Freeman of Denver, CO, many nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends. Her parents and a sister, Alice Freiberg preceded her in death.
Visitation for Mrs. Isabelle R. "Issy" Freeman will be on Tuesday, August 2, 2005, from 9 to 11 am at St. Louis Church. Mass of Christian Burial will be on Tuesday, at 11 am at the church. The Rev. Victor Capriolo will officiate and burial will be in St. Charles Cemetery. The family requests that memorials be directed to the Grancare Nursing Center Activities Fund.
