Ivy Eileen Eckhardt Bartelt Johnson, age 73 of South Byron died Saturday, February 9, 2008 at her residence. Ivy was born on September 29, 1934 in Watertown the daughter of Ervin and Hildegarde Krause Eckhardt. On January 21, 1956 she married Melvin Bartelt in Theresa. Melvin preceded her in death on October 26, 1987. Ivy later married Harlen C. Johnson on November 18, 1989 at St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Brownsville. Ivy was a graduate of Cosmetology School in Oshkosh and worked as a beautician for a number of years. She was a member of St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Brownsville. Ivy enjoyed collecting things and giving to charities.SURVIVORS: Survivors include her husband, Harlan C. Johnson, South Byron, one daughter, Kristine Bartelt, Fond du Lac, three sons, Bruce (Ann) Bartelt, Fond du Lac, Jeffrey Bartelt, Brownsville, and LynnBartelt, South Byron, one grandson, Jason Bartelt, a sister, Shirley Hepp, Watertown, father-in-law, Carl R. Johnson, West Bend. Ivy was preceded in death by her parents, first husband, nephew, brother-in-law and mother-in-law.
VISITATION: Friends may call Thursday, February 14, 2008 from 9:00 to 11:00 A.M. at St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church, 605 Highland Avenue, Brownsville. FUNERAL: Funeral services will be held Thursday, February 14, 2008 at 11:00 A.M. St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Brownsville with Reverend William Carter officiating. Burial will follow at St. Petri's Cemetery, Town of Theresa.Memorials appreciated to St. Paul's Lutheran Church Building Fund for Handicapped accessibility.Uecker-Witt Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
