Jack began his journey on May 2nd, 1943 in Aberdeen, Mississippi. He lived most of his life raising his family in Illinois, where he spent many hours coaching little league and serving as the President of the Winthrop Harbor School Board. He worked as a manufacturing engineer for most of his career at Evinrude Motors, Johnson Outboards and Mercury Marine.
Jack was a loving husband to Marilyn for 57 years, a wonderful father to Steve & Jeff, and the best grandpa to Teigen, Mallory, Jack, Charlie, and Althea. When Jack left this world, he was surrounded by his family.
Everyone who knew Jack was greeted by his sweet smile and states that he was the most kind-hearted man you would ever meet. He always put his family ahead of himself and will be remembered for his love of the outdoors, his sense of humor, and his southern style breakfasts. Jack greatly enjoyed hunting, fishing and training his Master Hunting dog, Grady.
Jack was proceeded in death by his parents, Fred and Wilma, and brother, Gene. Jack was a member of the Salem United Methodist Church in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin. His funeral service will be a small private family gathering at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
