Jack R. Madritsch

Jack R. Madritsch, 84, of Fond du Lac, died Saturday, December 24, 2011 at the Fond du Lac Lutheran Home under the care of Agnesian Hospice. He was born on November 11, 1927 in Milwaukee, the son of John and Helen (Kroepfl) Madritsch. Jack joined the Merchant Marine during World War II. He served in the United States Navy for eleven years. During that time he met and married his wife Leona K. Marcellus on September 18, 1954. He then served in the United States Air Force for eleven years. He retired as Senior Master Sergeant in 1967 after twenty two plus years of service. Jack went on to become a union electrician in Milwaukee. After Jack and Leona retired, they moved to Florida for seventeen years, where he enjoyed warm sun and a good game of golf. He also contributed 3,135 hours to the mission support of Patrick Air Force Base.SURVIVORS: his wife Leona, son, Gary Madritsch (special friend Joy) of Fond du Lac, daughter, Kathryn (Gary) Chitwood of Leroy, longtime daughter in law, Kathy Madritsch of Fond du Lac, grandchildren, Jennifer, Melissa, Cassandra, and Nick, great-grandchildren, Adalynn, Wesley, and Greyson, brother, Kenneth (June) Madritsch of Milwaukee, and other relatives and friends.



VISITATION: Thursday, December 29, 2011 from 4-7 P.M. at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home, 524 N. Park Ave, Fond du Lac. FUNERAL: Thursday, December 29, 2011 at 7:00 P.M. at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home with the Reverend Steven Huff of Hope Lutheran Church officiating, where Jack and Leona were members.
