Jacob W. Zielicke, age 25, of Lomira, formerly of Fond du Lac, died on Saturday, February 13, 2021. He was born on February 1, 1996, in Fond du Lac, the son of Ted and Wanda (Jagow) Zielicke. Jacob was a 2014 graduate of Fond du Lac High School. On December 14, 2018, he married Cholena Smith at High Cliff State Park. He worked at Nemesis Metals in Fond du Lac where he was an expert fabricator using his creativity. He attended Lighthouse Christian Church. Jacob was a hard worker and would help out anyone that needed it. He was a beekeeper and made maple syrup and enjoyed all kinds of hunting and fishing with his dog, Miley. Jacob and Cholena had a garden together and he enjoyed canning. He loved all sorts of outdoors activities including camping, hiking, and kayaking. Jacob loved traveling and seeing the world with friends and family.
Survivors include his wife, Cholena of Lomira; his parents, Ted and Wanda Zielicke of Mt. Calvary, his brother, Jeremiah (Elise) Zielicke of Madison; his father-in-law, Peter Smith of Fond du Lac; his mother-in-law, Yvonne (James) Maly of Fond du Lac; his paternal grandparents, Daniel and Melody Zielicke of Fond du Lac; his brothers-in-law, Matthew Larson, Zachery Larson, Jacob (Amanda) Larson, Christopher Quick, and Calvin Quick, and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by one brother, Joshua Zielicke; his maternal grandparents, Valanee Emilie and Warren Jagow; one uncle, Randall Jagow; one aunt, Beth Zielicke.
Visitation will take place on Friday, February 19, 2021, from 3-7 PM at Lighthouse Christian Church, 401 S. National Ave, Fond du Lac, WI, 54935. Visitation will also take place on Saturday, February 20, 2021, from 11:30 AM until 1:00 PM at Lighthouse Christian Church. A funeral service will follow the visitation at the church on Saturday. Burial will follow at St. Charles Cemetery.
