James Edward Roberts

James Edward Roberts, age 79, of North Fond du Lac, died Sunday, August 30, 2015 at St. Agnes Hospital. He was born on August 4, 1936 in Fond du Lac, the son of Richard Joseph and Mary Patricia (Brockway) Roberts. On July 16, 1983 he married Ruby Lorraine (Henning) Lawlis at Lakeside Park in Fond du Lac. Jim started working at Giddings & Lewis at age eighteen as an apprentice and retired from there at age 62 as a sales engineer. Jim was a member of two radio-controlled airplane clubs. He always had a love for the outdoors and nature, especially his time up north, where he designed and built his dream home. Jim’s family has always been very important to him and he enjoyed traveling to visit them wherever they lived.



SURVIVORS: his wife Ruby Lorraine Roberts of North Fond du Lac; children, Terry (Tom) Bowen of Centennial, CO; Dianne Roberts of Springfield, IL; Michael J. Roberts of Aurora, CO; Selena (Tom) Fuhrmann of Oshkosh; Bobbi (Pat) Zyduck of North Fond du Lac; five grandsons; two great-granddaughters; sister, Marceline Roberts of Milwaukee; twin brother, Joseph (Shirley) Roberts of Fond du Lac; sister, Mary Ellen Schmidt of Melbourne, FL; and his former wife, Nancy Roberts of Aurora, Co; and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; and an infant daughter Janice.



VISITATION: Wednesday, September 2, 2015 from 3-7 P.M. at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home, 524 N. Park Ave, Fond du Lac, WI, 54935. FUNERAL: Thursday, September 3, 2015 at 11:00 A.M. at Sacred Heart Church-Holy Family, 232 S. Peters Ave, Fond du Lac, WI, 54935. Cremation has taken place and interment will take place at Ledgeview Memorial Park.
