James J. Uttendorfer

June 22, 1945 — February 22, 2008

James J. Uttendorfer, 62, of 354 Oakview Circle, Oakfield, died unexpectedly Friday, February 22, 2008 at his residence. He was born June 22, 1945 the son of Louis A. and Hazel M. Priepke Uttendorfer in Fond du Lac. He is a member of Sons of Zebedee, St. James Church, Oakfield. Jim graduated from Oakfield High School in 1963 and then enlisted in the US Navy from 1964 "“1968. During his tour of duty he married Patricia A. Jaeger on May 15, 1965 at St. James Catholic Church, Oakfield. After serving his tour of duty, Jim and Patti returned to the Oakfield area and started dairy farming and raised their family. Jim's love was his family, buying cattle and acquiring farms. He will be remembered by his great sense of humor.SURVIVORS: his wife, Patti; three sons, Paul (Sue) Uttendorfer, Louis (special friend, Kristen) Uttendorfer, Joseph (Tina) Uttendorfer; one daughter, Rhonda (Ron) Petersen, all of Oakfield; his grandchildren, Brittany Weimer, Paige and Rollin Petersen, Alyson and Aryn Uttendorfer, Jacob and Clint Uttendorfer; four step-grandchildren, Melissa, Sara, D.J. and Tim. He his further survived by one brother, Edward (Sandy) Uttendorfer, Fond du Lac; one sister, Marie (John) Barbeau, Oakfield; his mother-in-law, Marcella Jaeger; three brothers-in-law, Rudy (Agnes) Jaeger, Richard Jaeger and John (Joan) Jaeger; two sisters-in-law, Sandy (Ron) Briese and Susan Jaeger; many nieces and nephews. Jim was preceded in death by his parents, a nephew, Tony Uttendorfer, a niece, Mary Beth Patum and his father-in-law, Paul Jaeger.



VISITATION: will be from 3 "“8 PM on Sunday, February 24, 2008 at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home and again from 9:30 "“ 11 AM on Monday at the church. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 AM on Monday, February 25, 2008 at Sons of Zebedee, St. James Church, Oakfield with Rev. Michael Petersen officiating. Burial will take place at Avoca Cemetery, Oakfield.Uecker-Witt Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Additional information and guestbook may be found at www.ueckerwitt.com.
